AP Ventures - Pricing Analyst - Bidding Process

Duties and Responsibilities:

- The Pricing Analyst will work directly with the Business Development team leads and focus primarily on federal proposal pricing and budgets.

- Review, analyze, and interpret procurement materials, such as RFP, RFTO, RFQ and distill information for use in budget preparation.

- Create and revise budget shells in Microsoft Excel, incorporating information from solicitations and Proposal staff.

- Assist with the creation of additional supporting documents, such as Conflict of Interest and other certifications, etc.

- Coordinate with Contract Manager and respective Project Managers to help develop pricing support for contract modifications.

- Coordinate the creation of the Cost/Price Narratives and Excel-based price/cost models for federal bids that APV is pursuing

- Primary POC leading pricing efforts in the development of cost/price proposals

- Support involves cost model development, cost narrative writing and assistance with other cost/price volume requirements

- Develop recommendations alternative Price Strategies to achieve the PTW and analyzing potential investment decisions to create competitive advantages necessary to achieve specific Pwin ranges, to include modifying existing corporate structures / organizations

- As a pricing lead, participate in Technical internal proposal reviews (Pink/Red Teams, Sign Offs, etc.) to ensure technical solution is in sink with pricing.

- Also participate in any loss analysis

Education :

Bachelor's degree in a related field of Engineering, Science, Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Policy or related degree

Experience Requirement:

- 5+ years of related experience in Federal IT contracting with specific emphasis on pricing and Price-To-Win analysis

- Experience with the preparation of multi-million-dollar cost and price proposals, including FFP, T&M, and Cost-plus

Must have skills and Knowledge:

- Must be organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Must be able to work well both independently and with a team.

- Must be able to work with a rapid pace that is deadline-driven.

- Must be proficient in both Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat

- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

- Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills.

- As a pricing lead, must have the knowledge to conduct pricing strategy meetings, pricing analysis, and competitive pricing activities, to include estimates of competitor bids and - what if- cost models.

- The candidate must have excellent organization skills, analytical skills, and demonstrate exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

- Prior knowledge and deep familiarity with the government contract bidding process

- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of direct and indirect cost structures of a government contractor.
