What you will do
The city manager will be a mini-CEO/owner of his allocated city. He will be handling operations & sales in his city with his team of regional managers, KAMs & BDEs.
Your role will be a part of Hyperlocal farm team where we tend to solve for the best quality cattle. You will be responsible for top-line growth of your respective. You will be looking after your city's sales and revenue generation ensuring the right PnL with the aggression of a sales leader while thinking strategically to achieve diverse goals and tremendous growth. As a city manager you will be accountable for demand generation activities by carrying out farmer level direct and targeted connects in 4-200 villages under each cattle farm. These cattle farms are located in tier II and tier III cities while catering to a catchment area of 4-200 villages per cattle farm.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the demand and revenue generation for your city and for handling a monthly revenue to the tune of 1-2 Cr.
- Build and nurture a team of 20+ people consisting of on ground sales executives and their team leaders in the territory
- Handling end to end business operations at city level which would require extensive travel across state
- Creating a strategic road map and execution plan for the demand generation across the city
- Ensuring that the monthly, quarterly and yearly business targets are achieved as per annual plan
- Handling escalations/concerns raised at various levels within organisation or from other stakeholders
- Recruiting and mentoring on the ground staff both on-roll as well as off-roll basis the hiring requirement
- Working closely with internal as well as external stakeholders and also responsible for preparation and reporting of daily report for the category leaders
Must Haves:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience of leading sales teams
- Highly analytical - can turn data into insights and make data driven decisions.
- Proven experience in data driven decision making and hence proficient in use of excel too
- Communicate and collaborate effectively across teams and various levels of the organization towards accomplishing the tasks at hand
- High sense of ownership and resourcefulness - figuring out problems on his/her own and finding the most optimal solution
Good To Haves:
- Startup experience OR experience working in nascent markets and building them from scratch
- Good knowledge of the agricultural demand generation market
- Strong leadership values, goal orientation, being comfortable about working in a fast-paced, environment
- Be highly motivated, self-driven, and open to new learnings and experiences.
- Exposure in Dairy Farming/Cattle Feed/Animal Health/ Dairy Companies
- Exposure to Rural markets and rural customers, preferably experience working with dairy farmers
- Experience working with start-ups that have robust product growth and user acquisition story
