Job Title: DVP/VP Personal Loans

Location: Mumbai / Bengaluru

What you will do:

You shall be responsible for the Personal Loan products/portfolio, lending practices, credit/loan policies, guidelines, and procedures to address consumer needs, business objectives, and strategic plans.

You shall be responsible to ensure optimal end to end lending customer journey and operations, drive process improvements, and monitored loan quality exposures and concentration risks.

Key responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the senior leadership to develop and execute the strategic vision for the Personal Loans division, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.

- Partnerships:

- Develop and optimize distribution channels for personal loan products, including digital platforms, partnerships, and traditional channels, to maximize market reach.

- Liaising with lenders like Banks, NBFCs and lenders etc. and managing the business relationship.

- Identifying and creating new business lending opportunities and partnerships. Responsible for the new initiatives, strategic alliances & partnerships pertaining to personal loan vertical.

- Product Development:

- Drive the development and enhancement of personal loan products, ensuring they meet customer needs, comply with regulations, and remain competitive in the market.

- Market Analysis:

- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive dynamics. Use insights to inform product and business strategy.

- Financial Performance:

- Oversee the financial performance of the Personal Loans division, setting and achieving key performance indicators, managing budgets, and implementing strategies for sustainable growth.

- Owning sales targets overall and within accounts. Developing and implementing strategic plan to achieve the same.

- Consistently achieve revenue targets in line with team/organizational objectives

- Risk Management:

- Implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate credit and operational risks associated with personal loan activities. Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Customer Experience:

- Prioritize and enhance the customer experience, incorporating feedback and leveraging technology to streamline processes and improve overall satisfaction.

- Developing a pipeline of value-added customer solutions to include customer experience, products, and service offerings.

- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and be a partner to customers to understand their needs and objectives.

- To understand customer requirement in the geography assigned and future product portfolio improvement based on past customer feedback.

- Regulatory Compliance:

Stay abreast of lending regulations and ensure that personal loan products and practices comply with relevant laws and standards.

- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, operations, risk management, finance, marketing, and technology, to ensure seamless integration of personal loans initiatives.

- Team Management: Lead and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.

Who you are:

- 10+ years of extensive knowledge of the lending business, loan documents and terminology

- The candidate should have an engineering background from a tier 1 / premier college. MBA from a tier-1 B School will be preferable.

- The candidate must have experience in conceptualizing and implementing lending product

- A good understanding of risk, credit policies and procedures.

- Strong lending background in Fintech, MFI or NBFCs only with a knack for working with concrete data

- Passion towards building a large consumer fintech business

- Strong industry knowledge and understanding of key drivers/ trends and how business works for different geographies

- Proven sales experience of meeting or exceeding targets and interact with all levels of client organization, including executive and C-level.

- In-depth knowledge about lending business, fintech industry.
