- Assistant Manager - US Accounting Data Migration will play a pivotal role in the successful transition and integration of accounting data from legacy systems to new platforms.
- This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and data management.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Migration Oversight:
- Lead the planning and execution of data migration projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure data integrity during migration.
Analysis and Validation:
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing data to identify discrepancies and develop solutions.
- Validate migrated data to ensure it meets quality standards and aligns with business requirements.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of migration processes, issues, and resolutions.
- Prepare reports on migration progress, challenges, and outcomes for stakeholders.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor junior staff involved in the data migration process.
- Facilitate training sessions to enhance team members' skills in data management and accounting practices.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in data handling and accounting workflows.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in future migrations.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's / master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or data migration projects, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience with accounting software and data migration tools is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e. , Excel, SQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
