- 2-4 years of relevant work experience in a strategy role, in a consulting firm or a strategy/business planning unit of a financial institution
- Strong analytical skills and excel skills
- Strong with PowerPoint and presentation
- Strong communication skills (written & oral)
- Ability to multi-task efficiently and meet project deadlines
- Attention to detailWork as a part of the Wholesale Strategy division on global, regional and divisional projects with a focus on Investment Banking
- Interest in wider investment banking /capital markets industry, including key trends and market dynamics, such as market structure, fintech, regulations
- Support management / businesses on strategic projects and initiatives, long term business growth and overall positioning of the franchise
- Conduct competitor / industry research and analysis, leveraging both public and non-public sources
- Assess the impact of general macroeconomic indicators and emerging market trends
- Identify, analyze and monitor issues that affect profitability, growth and productivity, e.g., client segments behavior, banker time and resource allocation
- Financial forecasting, including fee pool and market share projections, costs and investment planning
- Develop recommendations for business heads
- Prepare management presentations including business plans, business reviews, offsites, town halls, covering financial performance analysis, changes in business environment and key themes impacting earnings
- Work closely with Strategy team members, as well as business CAOs, Finance, HR and other functional teams in different regions; working independently or with the support of other team members
- Role provides wide exposure into investment banking industry across traditional banking (ECM Cash, DCM Cash, M&A, ALF) and non-traditional banking (RSG, SSG, ISG, Equity Solutions), with secondary exposure to other wholesale businesses, such as Fixed Income and Equities
