Position Overview:

The current position is for a lawyer who will work as part of the India Corporate Commercial Legal team. The India Corporate Commercial Legal team supports the India entities of the organisation and includes advisory, drafting, review, negotiation, and finalization of commercial contracts including information technology, market data, network management related contracts, non-IT procurements for pieces of equipment as well as services etc.. The broad nature of work will be reviewing, drafting and negotiation of IT, market data, Non-IT contracts and advisory on commercial contracts. The candidate will report to the head of documentation within the India Corporate Commercial Legal team.

Role & Responsibilities:

Commercial Contracts lawyer with a strong focus on the following:

1). Drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts related to procurement of IT related products and services and non IT related products and services;

2). Remain constantly updated on the emerging changes in laws specifically corporate laws in India and keep the business and senior management abreast of these changes;

3). Respond and provide solutions to legal queries posed by the business teams in relation to the contractual agreements and related terms;

4). Diligently track and report tasks and status to the management

Key Skills:

1). Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and an eye for detail; self-starter, problem solver and ability to work with minimal supervision;

2). Strong analytical skills;

3). Work efficiently and complete tasks under tight deadline
