About the Private Equity Fund: The fund is an early-stage investment fund aimed at building India's next big consumer brands by providing capital as well as hands-on involvement in branding, distribution and organization building to stellar entrepreneurs with strong business models. The fund has an initial corpus of up to USD 100m, primarily investing at pre-series A and Series A stages.

The fund is a unique investment venture in that capital employed will form only a small part of the offering to potential investees, the larger element being active involvement by seasoned professionals in the areas of organization building, brand building, business strategy, product-to-market, sales and finance to help professionalize the organization and achieve scale and sustained growth

Location: Mahalakshmi, Mumbai

Job Description:

- You will have an opportunity to represent one of India's most differentiated consumer investment funds, source interesting and relevant opportunities to build exciting businesses, and help the investing team understand, shortlist and invest in them.


- You will also build relationships with investors and funds across the ecosystem and help portfolio companies raise further capital. Your role will include:

1. Industry mapping - Map the selected industries will all key information and primary research at an ongoing basis and network with relevant folks

2. Market intelligence - understand market dynamics and opportunity size, both for new opportunities and for existing portfolio.

3. Network with relevant community of investors and start-ups to increase awareness of the company

4. Identify opportunities - find relevant opportunities in the selected category/industry at an early stage and constantly track the understanding and key events

5. Represent company across forums - both formal and informal. Active participation in the start-up community, develop a robust ecosystem of peer VCs, startup CEOs, bankers, etc

The desired profile:

1. Graduate/MBA with relevant work experience of 1-3 years

2. Experienced (preferred) in young/early-stage start-ups or VC firm

3. Worked in a role which involved building or managing strong networks in the VCs, start-up and corporate communities
