Analyst - Hedge Fund

A leading Hedge Fund seeks to hire an analyst in the New Delhi office.

The firm manages close to half a billion dollars and has long term orientation (5-10 years) in the Indian and global public and private markets. While the majority of investments will be made in the public markets, the firm will also look to invest significantly and partner meaningfully with management in attractive private opportunities.

The Analyst will be expected to have proficiency in the following areas.

1. Financial statement analysis: expertise in analysing and simplifying information available publicly of companies including but not limited to Balance Sheet, P&L and cash flow statement. As well as understanding the cadence of quarterly results and keeping a close watch on company developments.

2. Financial modelling: Proven experience in modelling out cash flows, EPS and company financials with minute detail across different contexts. This will be done in accordance with the portfolio manager and the broader investment team.

3. Equity Research: Genuine discovery of insights related to certain sectors and companies by doing research in publicly available and otherwise available tools and sources of information.

Apart from this, the candidate is expected to support the PM and the Investment team in tasks that can be outside this ambit but will help in building the firm.
