Analyst - Due Diligence - Investment Banking (3-7 yrs)
Our client is an investment bank seeking a due diligence Analyst to be based in Bangalore/Chennai. This role will provide support for various client engagements by developing financial and operational analyses and models (e.g., cash flow, business case, IRR, investment and return payback curves, and financial ratios) to present conclusions/recommendations to the client and assist with implementation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support client teams by conducting analytical evaluation, valuation and due diligence of private equity investment opportunities across multiple industries
- Perform extensive analysis of a company's financials, market position and competitive landscape
- Create detailed financial models, investment analyses, and valuation models to support the justification of investments / acquisitions
- Support firm activity in new business, developing Intellectual Property, and other internal initiatives
- Provide project execution support which often includes developing client deliverables and key milestone follow up to ensure timely project execution
- Extensive travel to client locations; international travel possible
Requirements:
- 2 + years of prior financial analysis and/or operational analysis experience in merger & acquisition situations at a financial service, investment banking or private equity firm Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills required
- Commitment to gaining exposure to multiple industries
- Comfortable with extensive travel
- Masters degree preferred
