A well-known private equity firm is looking for an Analyst / Associate with a background in utility/industrial M&A to join their team in the renewables space.
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the deal team, the Analyst/Associate will monitor portfolio company's financial performance and key performance indicators, provide ongoing monitoring of assets with the firm's portfolios including review of monthly operating results and maintaining project performance / preparing quarterly reports on company performance
- Interact with portfolio company management and conduct routine valuation assessments
- The Associate will assist or lead in the financial modeling industry and market research due diligence and creation of various reports
- Provide a financial evaluation of investment opportunities including review of project documents
- Advise clients on both, local and global market conditions and predict future performance expectations
- Developing financial models to perform forecasts on variables like credit growth, defaults rates
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry, trade and professional organizations to enhance visibility of the firm and the portfolio companies in the market place
- Associates will get an opportunity to team up with VPs or Partners on investment opportunities across one or more asset classes for deal or trade evaluation, developing financial models, researching concepts, structuring and execution related responsibilities.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2-6 years- experience in investment banking team of a tier 1 investment bank working in utility/industrial M&A
- MBA from a premier institute. CA qualified will be an added advantage
- Experience in the renewables sector is welcome, though not mandatory
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- MS Excel and MS power point
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- The entrepreneurial bent of mind,
- Ability to multi-task
