Role: Analyst/ Associate - Investment Banking

Location: Bangalore

Our Client is a well established financial services firm and is into investment banking, institutional broking, asset management, and fixed income advisory.

Job description :

- Based in Bangalore, you will be an integral part of the Corporate Finance team and work on domestic transactions.

- In the broader picture of assisting the team in providing innovative solutions and expert advice to their clients,

Day-to-day responsibilities include:-

- Execution of active M&A mandates Preparation of marketing materials, target and acquirer screening, financial modeling and valuation analysis, data-room management, etc.

- Marketing initiatives and origination: Market analyses of different industry verticals, preparation of market, strategic and industry peer analyses, screening of potential M&A targets/buyers, financial valuations, assist in identifying opportunities, preparing pitchbooks, etc.

Responsibilities:

- Creating financial analysis (build financial models, valuation analyses, merger modeling, corporate finance solutions, etc.)

- Build detailed financial models to evaluate performance under various operating scenarios and to analyze the impacts of different capital structures and potential equity and debt capital market transactions or M&A transactions

- Research and analysis of markets and industries

- Assisting with client development (coordinate data with clients, assist in the presentation of new ideas to clients)

- Working on teams (coordinate with team members, deliver projects on a deadline)

- Involved in day to day project management and execution support

- Prepare presentation materials for use in client meetings, covering topics such as strategic alternatives, capital markets activity and general corporate finance

- Tracking business development (collect research, analyze industry trends)

- Evaluate corporate transactions and their structures

Role requirements:-

- At least 6 months of experience in M&A or Fund Raising or Private Equity or Equity research with some experience in Target screening and Valuation.

- Immediate availability / should be able to join in a month

- Strong interest in investment banking and M&A

- Strong academic background/results and financial knowledge (accounting, corporate finance, and company valuation)

- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to contribute your own ideas and work autonomously

- Proficiency in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

- Capability to work under pressure and in a context of shifting priorities

- Impeccable communication and presentation skills (verbal and written), attention to detail

- Language skills: Candidates are required to be proficient in English (fluent both spoken and written).
