Manager - Sourcing - Finished Goods &amp; Buy-outs Role Objective/Purpose of the Role :&nbsp; - The position has the responsibility to manage FG Buyout sourcing, supplier's agreements and discover new opportunities with existing as well as new suppliers. One of the key needs is to collaborate with key internal stakeholders and is to collaborate with external partners. Evaluate new business solutions and new concept to the organization which can conceptually go well with Amway brand values and product portfolio. Incumbent needs to partner with Internal Stakeholders which include Marketing, R&amp;D, Regulatory, Planning, Manufacturing, Legal and can drive agenda within set time frame. - Incumbent should have the enterprise mindset wherein he/she can bring best value to organization, drive cost, bring efficiency and thereby contribute to organization topline and bottom line. Incumbent is expected to strictly follow laid down procurement policy and procedure while dealing with vendors, during supplier identification and development. - The position demands lot of agility wherein associate is required to travel across geographies and needs to deal in cross culture environment at different time zones. This also may call for, sometime station at supplier site to ensure smooth operation and seamless supply chain. Incumbent should display a very strong interpersonal skills while resolving operational issues and can prepare road map to deliver long term solution. Primary Responsibilities: Key Job Responsibility Core Activities 1. Supplier Selection Achieve predetermined goals whilst acting upon all Corporate requirements to deliver to business partners needs. Identify, tender, select and qualify suppliers. Deliver maintenance of supply base via effective utilisation of procurement mastery principles and techniques. 2. Supplier Management :&nbsp; Works with suppliers on relationship, risk and performance management principles to ensure supply chain opportunities are investigated and delivered goods are in accordance with business requirements. Evaluate, cross functionally lead and develop plans to improve upon supplier management and performance through Procurement Mastery principles and ensure results are tracked and reported via metrics and scorecards. Set improvement targets and achievement in consideration with other cross functional departments. 3. Negotiation :&nbsp; - Negotiation of the lowest total cost against business needs following Procurement's policies and procedures and Mastery practices Actively uses available processes, tools and technology to achieve lowest total cost. - Negotiation of and responsibility for legal terms and conditions of trade, ensuring all documents are completed, approved and available and when appropriate that renewal is undertaken in a timely manner. - Resolve issues on delivery and shipping, cost, product quality and relevant required paperwork. Follow Policy and Procedure guidelines as defined within Procurement Mastery and documents all decisions for authorisation. 4. Benchmarking :&nbsp; - Ensure comprehensive review of competitive scenarios, industry analysis and general commodity market and supply base analysis. Develop, maintain and monitor marketplace information to allow continuous assessment of product total cost structures. Attend appropriate trade shows and external sourcing events proactively sharing and evaluating the information gathered. 5. Optimisation:&nbsp; - Optimisation of role and value add to the supply chain organisation Assess and identify opportunities for improvement and recommend new alternatives to ensure reliable supply of product, materials and/or services. - Make short and long term strategic supply recommendations based upon research and analysis within own range responsibilities. - Work with supply base, identify enhancements to current supply chain operations and cost management activities 6. Administration:&nbsp; - Up to date administration Updating all documentation to department guidelines and policy and procedures. - Ensure effective storage and review of information to department needs. - Able to maintain and complete defined Procurement tasks within this system. - Appropriate administration and paperwork tracing/eFiling both internal and external, on responsibilities. Is capable to quick identify all needed documents and proactively manages and completes actions where documents are outstanding or require closure. - Completion and submission of supplier / manufacturer visit reports, expense reports within an appropriate time post trip and in line with respective procedures. 7. Business Partner Relationship Management :&nbsp; - Smooth and efficient cooperation and support in line with principles of Procurement Mastery Maintaining and enforcing effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments within the organization to deliver most optimal business approach and corporate needs. 8. Reporting :&nbsp; - Stakeholders have the right and relevant information in good time and are in a position to steer effectively based on that information. Reporting to Procurement Manager with regard to procurement objectives and costs in connection with agreed KPIs and SLAs. - Able to demonstrate understanding of and use of ERP and other business relevant systems and competent in producing reports, accessing data and other data streams when necessary. - Competent in the loading and tracking of KPI information into reports and software. CAREER LEVEL: - Hands on experience in sourcing of finished goods preferably in food/ Pharma is a must. - Lead and represent sourcing for cross-functional projects and programs. - Develops proficiency in area of specialty through practical experience. - Working in cross culture environment and adaptability to different time zones is desirable. - Develops solutions to a variety of routine problems of limited scope using application of basic sourcing principles, theories, and concepts. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND/OR RELATED EXPERIENCE - Equivalent experience gained from any combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work and life experience- Education Degree Field Related Experience :&nbsp; Post Graduate / MBA - Operations / Supply Chain - 7-9 Years - Hands on experience in Sourcing preferably in more regulated environment. Procurement is able to build relationships by utilizing tools such as the Joint Business Plan process, initiative list management and effective persuasive selling skills. - Commercial Agreements: Procurement drafts and executes (in partnership with Legal) pertinent written agreements for on-going requirements (purchase orders, leases, Contracts, etc.); and Procurement collaborates on establishment of pertinent agreements for development requirements (CDAs, JDAs, Letters of Intent, etc.) - Industry Analysis: Industry Analysis provides the Company with competitive advantage by obtaining and analysing information on industry supply/demand dynamics, production technology and cost structure (feedstock, capital) which is used to build effective sourcing strategies, cost forecasts, and negotiation positions. - Competitive Analysis: Competitive Analysis contributes to competitive advantage by gathering and using information about competitors- materials, technologies, supply base, sourcing strategies, suppliers, material costs, and processes to enable the benchmarking/forecasting of competitors- material/services prices and material/services changes. - Competitive Bidding: Procurement uses competitive bidding, including pre-inquiry meetings, to insure our price competitiveness in the marketplace thus deliver business results and a competitive advantage. - Economic Analysis: Procurement forecasts costs, availability and trends of material purchased by Amway, and anticipate significant short and long-term changes which may impact our sourcing and/or business strategy. - Linking &amp; Leveraging: Delivers a competitive advantage by linking Amway business needs to supplier and industry capabilities and innovation via in-depth knowledge of industries and suppliers.
