Overall Purpose of the Role :

Manager Product is responsible for designing and developing all AMS Products. The manager's role is to synthesize market, consumer, product, and competitive inputs into delivering the highest possible revenue for the business.

Areas of Responsibility :

Leadership/Supervisory Role :


- To lead the product portfolio and collaborate with key stakeholders in developing various product initiatives inclusive of consumer case studies, product videos, website content, and much more.

Product Positioning :


- Responsible for understanding the customer needs and behaviors for the product's positioning and messaging.

Product Launches :


- To enable and oversee the launch of new products/ services to ensure a successful and integrated product launch for the product, new product features, and product solutions. Also responsible for post-launch obligations such as ensuring that the product constantly grows in the market; and that the product is constantly moving from awareness to adoption in new market segments.

Other Responsibilities:

- Develop go-to-market plans for each product, including positioning, messaging, sales enablement materials and other deliverables

- Own content creation (e.g. white papers, sales presentations, product videos, blog posts, case studies, etc.) to articulate the unique value proposition and benefits of AMS products

- Work with the Underwriting team to ensure all risks are managed within available pricing mechanisms

- Perform competitive research, conduct surveys and interviews to continually build expertise in the market, customers and competitive landscape

- Together with the sales and marketing team, educate customers and prospects on our product features and their benefits

- Serve as an evangelist for our products through thought leadership and blogging, social media, and speaking

Qualification & Experience Required :

- MBA / Post Graduation in Product Development & Marketing (General Insurance industry preferred)

- Creative story teller with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Passionate about evangelizing and sharing product knowledge, engaging with any audience, and discussing core value propositions to both business and technical audiences as needed.

- Individual contributor willing to get their hands in the details

- 5+ years in product development, product portfolio management

- Strategic thinker with ability to develop and implement actionable plans with measurable results

- Metrics and data driven

- Proactive and strategic but also implementation-focused; ready to roll up your sleeves and make an impact right away

Skills & Competencies Required :

- Leadership - Proven ability to set a vision and excite (directly and/or by influence) cross-functional multidisciplinary teams and worked closely with internal & external stakeholders, proven track record of providing guidance and direction to achieve the product vision

- Expertise in customer engagement, business intelligence and product platform development

- Industry domain knowledge is preferred but not mandatory

- Have led development of an end-2-end product development lifecycle from concept to release

- Effective communicator - Communicates well with cross-functional teams; can effectively present plans and roadmap to internal stakeholders and C-Level execs; comfortable pitching products to diverse external audiences (customers, partners, and analysts); strong ability to convince and influence

- Entrepreneurial mindset, possess a high energy level to react to situations quickly and decisively, possessing self-confidence to be assertive when taking a position, not afraid to make decisions

- Experience identifying and addressing customer needs, building relationships with customers, developing an awareness of relevant services, communicating with customers in an organized and knowledgeable manner, and delivering clear requests for information

Analytical Skills :


- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, as well as passion for products analysis, completive analysis, and market dynamics.


- Possess strong ability to synthesize market data and provide solutions even on short notice or constraint deadlines.


- A suitable candidate will possess a creative ability to craft product messaging that resonates and connects with the diverse demographics of the business's consumers as well as for the stakeholders to whom he will have to answer to directly for the activities and performances of the product marketing department.
