Role : - The primary focus of this role would be on transfer pricing related aspects of cross-border transactions and compliances, to ensure that these transactions comply with applicable transfer pricing regulations. - This position based out of Gurugram, India and is part of the Global Transfer Pricing (GTP) team at American Express and will report to Delivery Leader (Band 35) - Transfer Pricing in Gurugram. Responsibilities : - Responsible for obtaining data, analyzing and substantiating intercompany charges between American Express affiliates. - Possesses a good understanding of transfer pricing principles (or a knowledge of American Express- international operations). - Perform comparable searches using transfer pricing software (comparables databases). - Support the preparation and review of American Express Company's Transfer Pricing documentation for various the U.S. and other markets. - Assist tax personnel in international markets to obtain data for local transfer pricing documentation. - Liaise with colleagues both within and outside of the Global Tax to collect relevant information and data, wherever necessary to support various audits and transfer pricing initiatives. - Support the processes related to global transfer compliances like BEPS related compliances for various countries. Minimum Qualifications : Past Experience : Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a Transfer Pricing role (in a Big4 consulting or in-house environment) Academic Background : - Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other relevant fields of study required. - Professional qualification like Chartered Accountant or Advanced degree preferred (e.g., Masters) Functional Skills/Capabilities : - Basic/Advanced understanding of Transfer Pricing guidelines. - Strong analytical skills. - Ability to manage competing demands and execute assigned tasks quickly and accurately. - Strong ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
