Team has a global footprint though this position will be based out of the American Express Service Center in Gurgaon, India. - The role is a B35 people leader role reporting to a Director. Key Responsibilities : - Incumbent will be responsible to strategize and drive improvement opportunities in control review standards for payment. - Successful candidate will be responsible to driving efficiencies and standardization for controls within payment process. He will lead discussions with various risk team, auditors, AXP business users to enable minimization of risk of third party onboarding, duplicate / incorrect payments. Responsibilities : - As a global company American Express is required to abide by US Sanctions Regulations administered by the US Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and by Sanctions requirements imposed by other countries where AXP operate.&nbsp; - Persons or entities subject to Sanctions are called Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) AXP is required to complete screening within 24 hours of when an alert is received. The responsibility of this role is to accurately and timely complete the screenings.&nbsp; - This role is critical and if not preformed will result in fines imposed by the government. Successful candidate will be part of GSM Sanctions Review Team and will be single point of contact for all sanctions related queries within GSM. - Monitoring alerts to ensure the 24 hour SLA is met - Updating systems including Bridger, performing due diligence and Excel - Escalating records to the appropriate resource within international markets - Identify, escalate and track risks / issues in a timely manner - Collaborate with assigned business partners to address identified gaps- - Manages the implementation of assigned projects along with leading and assisting projects as needed. - Responsible for maintaining compliance on product portfolio as well as providing input on maintaining compliant operations. - Assist staff with problem solving. Qualifications : - Postgraduate (MBA/CA/CS/ or equivalent) with 1-2 years or experience - Strong written and verbal communication skills are also required to effectively communicate urgency and requirements to pass screenings - Knowledge of Bridger application will be preferred - Must be in good standing and have a G2/L2 or better review rating in latest review - Self-starter with ability to execute with minimal direction and strong attention to detail - Be able to communicate and ask probing questions to understand issue and path for solution - Proven organizational, prioritization and research skills - Able to influence others, make decisions, and manage and maintain relationships across regions and teams - Understanding of compliance and GSM/Payment Operations would be preferred - Should be flexible to work in 24- 7 environment. - Minimum tenure of 18 months in current role as on the date of application deadline - Should not be on any form of counseling or action plan- The Apply Button will redirect you to website.
