Function Description:

This position is within Credit and Fraud Risk Capabilities, Gurgaon. The person would be functionally responsible for enabling Risk SOR and external (third party) data in Big data platform.

Purpose of the Role:

Person will lead team of analysts to:

- Enable Risk SOR/new external data source to manage credit and fraud risk

- End to end ownership of all Risk SOR/external data across platforms and processes

- Ingestion of data in Big Data Platform

- Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Decision Sciences and Credit Risk Management to capture requirements and drive a common future vision.

- Co-ordinate with cross functional business groups

Leadership :

- Strong relationship management and team orientation; ability to lead and influence others in a cross-functional environment

- Strategic thinker who can partner with key stakeholders to drive the direction of the business

- Superior communication skills with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

- Proven ability to deliver results in a fast paced and highly matrix environment

- Ability to make complex prioritization trade-offs and tactical decisions using sound business judgment, analytical and reasoning skills

- Self-starter with ability to solve ambiguous/ open ended business challenges

- Ability to manage multiple and complex work streams and work across departmental boundaries and deliver a diverse set of initiatives that result in transformational outcomes

- A passion for innovation with demonstrated ability to drive capabilities innovation and resultant business growth; experience in applying existing and emerging technologies to deliver against customer goals

Critical Factors to Success:

People leadeship skills to manage team of analysts to drive business outcomes

Solid understanding of risk processes and data

Technical Skills/Capabilities:

- Expertise in Big Data, Hive, SQL and Agile development.

- Background of programming skills - Java, Python, Spark and Hadoop

Past Experience:

- Around 6+ years of prior experience

- Prior hands on experience in development or managing team of developers

- Experience in building foundational data capabilitiesto enable reporting and analytics initiatives

- Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence domains

- Strong understanding of project management methodology - Agile

- Experience with Amex system like Cornerstone

- Knowledge of credit and fraud would be a plus

Academic Background:

Post Graduate

Functional Skills/Capabilities:

- Risk background with experience in risk management

- Knowledge of Risk SORs/data

- Knowledge of agile

- Knowledge of Platforms:

- Cornerstone Big Data Platform
