Function Description : - Global Business Consulting is a team within American Express- Global Commercial Services Group. We are a value add service designed to help our clients gain control and improve efficiency of their travel & expense and procure-to-pay programs, to ultimately improve their competitive position in the marketplace. - Global Business Consulting is unique from other consultancies. We leverage a powerful mix of data analytics and proprietary tools to bring insights designed to help clients achieve their best operations. - Our team works across American Express- large and global client base to create programs that are scalable, easy to implement, and tailored specifically to the individual needs of our clients Purpose of the Role : Our solutions are focused in 3 areas : Strategy, Process & Policy. - We architect strategies to structure their programs, advice on policies to govern the desired behaviors, and identify inefficiencies in their processes to resolve - all to enable our clients to receive the full benefits of a partnership with AXP - transforming their payment product to a travel and procurement program solution. Responsibilities : - Ensure flawless and time project delivery for assigned activities and client engagements on benchmarking, preferred supplier programs, process analysis and performance measurement. - Strong focus on research work to generate fresh ideas to improve the project outcome. - Effectively communicate the project work and timeliness across time zones and regions. - Create actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data coming from different sources like American Express data, Travel management data and client supplier data. - Create project plans, presentations and ability to manage small engagements independently. - Deliver analytical insights or industry perspective to help the leadership team evaluate and drive business performance. - Demonstrated and measured results in the area of expertise. - Partner with functional leaders, strategic business partners and senior leaders to assess and provide consulting solutions to fulfill business requirements Critical Factors to Success : - Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders across geographies and time zones. - Ability to produce data driven and fact based recommendations for our clients and internal stakeholders. - Ability to ensure timely and proactive project delivery and maintaining high level of alertness to the data and information available for project delivery. - Ability to easily work with large data sets and effectively and produce right format for the analysis and distribution. Qualifications : Past Experience : - Strong story boarding and presentation skills to deliver project output in structured power points. This is mandatory. - Experience in procurement, supply chain and payments would be a big plus. Demonstrated examples and outcomes would help the understanding during interview process. - Extensive experience in insights generation, presentation, and preparing client facing fact pack (info graphs) is needed. - Extensive experience in insights generation, presentation, and preparing client facing fact pack (info graphs) is needed. - Must have expertise in Advanced Excel, Access and SQL for data extraction, cleansing and manipulation. Academic Background : - Bachelors in quantitative field (e.g., Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Operations Research), M.S or MBA. Functional Skills/Capabilities : - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong client management skills. - A demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure situations with minimal errors. - An optimistic and growth mindset with a tremendous will to win. - Should be able to function with minimum supervision with high sense of ownership. - Should be comfortable with flexible shift timings to support the international business. This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.
