The Global Servicing Network (GSN) delivers extraordinary customer care to Card Members and merchants around the world while providing world-class credit, collections and fraud services, and driving revenue growth for the company. The GSN MIS and Analytics team is responsible for providing Executive Decision support through advanced analytics and MIS, helping the organization to leverage our competitive advantage and capitalize on the unique asset of Relationship Care- to drive customer engagement to deepen loyalty with our customers and drive brand advocacy. Team has a global footprint though this position will be based out of the American Express Service Center in Gurgaon, India. The role is a B35 people leader role reporting to a Director.

Function Description:


As part of the Global Tax Team at American Express, you- ll support the International Income Tax Compliance (- IITC- ) based in our central of excellence in India. In this role you- ll be exposed to many international markets working with both internal and external stakeholders


Purpose of the Role:


Meet tax compliances for various International markets and ensuring that the payments for various markets are made on a timely basis . Working with both Internal and external stakeholders to meet compliance.

Responsibilites:


- Corporate Income Tax Returns (- CITR) - as part of IITC, you- ll ensure that the international CIT Returns are reviewed, technically accurate, submitted on time and that all relevant documents have been stored centrally.


- CIT Payments - Support with the monitoring and management of CIT payments.


- Tax Law - Support the research of tax law changes across international markets on a quarterly basis, access impact on Amex and report to the wider global tax team.


- Other responsibilities will be to support both ad-hoc projects, requests and other international market income tax compliance obligations

- Collaborate with the business to understand the business needs & deliver on projects such as new product launches in line with the regulatory requirements


- Demonstrate a strong external focus & stay abreast with the constantly evolving tax laws


- Timely support in providing the information to EY for the filing of the tax returns for various International markets


- Handle tax queries from EY


- Leverage technology for Automation of various processes

Past Experience:


- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a finance consulting or in-house environment. Preferably big four.


- Corporate tax experience essential.


Academic Background:


- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax


- Advanced degree preferred (e.g., Masters).


- English speaking. Other languages will be advantageous.


Functional Skills/Capabilities:


Technical Skills/Capabilities:


- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word.


- Experience of Microsoft SharePoint will be advantageous.


Knowledge of Platforms:


- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word.


- Experience of Microsoft SharePoint will be advantageous.
