Function Description : - Global Risk Banking and Compliance (GRBC) work to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of control and compliance at American Express in order to successfully identify, monitor and manage risks. Risk Analytics & Capabilities is a part of GRBC that acts as the - Second Line of Defense- in the AXP Risk Management. It provides an independent view of risks faced by AXP. - The team is going to be responsible for activities pertaining to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and also on creating the smart monitoring platform which is a real time automated risk monitoring platform. Purpose of the Role : - Enhance and expand the smart monitoring capability & portfolio analytics for Enterprise Risk Management. Responsibilities : - Create key risk indicators for assessing global compliance risk as part of smart monitoring platform - Mine new data sources to design new risk indicators which can point out a potential gap in the Amex systems using machine learning techniques like text mining, KNN etc. - Maintain and enhance a single view portal of all the KRIs which is easy to understand and use by everybody in the organizationCritical Factors to Success: Business Outcomes : - Provide independent assessment of key risks faced by American Express - Create key risk Indicators as part of smart monitoring platform - Apply innovative concepts to measure and manage risk consistent with regulatory requirements Leadership Outcomes : - Put enterprise thinking first, connect the role's agenda to enterprise priorities and balance the needs of customers, partners, colleagues & shareholders. - Lead with an external perspective, challenge status quo and bring continuous innovation to our existing offerings - Demonstrate learning agility, make decisions quickly and with the highest level of integrity - Lead with a digital mindset and deliver the world's best customer experiences every day Qualifications : Past Experience : 0-2 years of experience with data-driven analytics Preferred : Experience in financial services and risk management.
