These include securing content/books from vendors, introducing new programs and better costs.  - Understand the performance of the vendors you work with and make recommendations   - Work closely with leaders across the Kindle organization - locally and globally - in ensuring that we continue to develop new services and product offerings  Basic Qualifications :  Must have qualifications:  - An MBA degree  - Exceptional ability to negotiate with vendors and influence leaders both externally and within Amazon  - Strong communication skills and exceptional assertive abilities on all levels, while maintaining your ability to be vocally self-critical and seek feedback  - Business-focused thinking, an ability to focus on key issues and a strong hands-on, results-driven mentality  - Special affinity and demonstrated skill with numbers, analyses, and reports  - Excellent knowledge of Excel, and database work, with experience in SQL a plus  - Excellent marketing skills, a feel for customer needs, as well as a high degree of innovative prowess  - A great deal of personal initiative, creativity, decisiveness and team spirit  Preferred Qualifications :  Candidates with MBA with analytical sales roles requiring account/distributor management (data crunching and analytics combined with sale and account management) as relevant as direct vendor management experience.  Professional experience in e-commerce, sales, marketing, purchasing, key account management or consulting would be a plus.  - Experience in academic/education sector would be a plus
