- Amazon India is looking for outstanding, highly motivated, result-oriented fulfillment center Packaging Program Manager to join our IN Packaging team operating from Bangalore centrally. The individual will become a part of Amazon's long-term sustainability packaging program by developing e-commerce friendly packaging appropriately in order to reduce packaging damage (concession) and minimize % air in packaged shipment.&nbsp; - This position is primarily responsible for packaging evaluation, monitoring packaging testing in accordance with documented laboratory test protocols (e.g. ISTA 6 guidelines) that simulates Amazon fulfillment networks in India, auditing CPEX packaging certifications periodically for data accuracy and adherence with standard testing process. The positon is also responsible for reviewing third-party test reports from the certified labs, recording test results, and effectively communicating with both internal and external stakeholders regarding these testing.&nbsp; - These tests are part of the sustainable packaging program and help Amazon validate that a certified product can be safely shipped without the need of excess packaging. This role also serves as a focal point of contact for FC outbound team to address all queries related to packaging testing and certification. The position also supports various other packaging and sustainability programs including packaging quality management (QMS) that requires limited travel to fulfillment centers and corporate offices as per business needs.&nbsp; - The person deals well with ambiguity, and exercises good judgement and bias for action. The incumbent is mentally flexible, adapts quickly to changing workflow and priorities, and views new challenging tasks as growth opportunities. The ideal candidate earns trust within their team, and demonstrates high ownership over FC packaging evaluation and testing, not just his or her individual work.&nbsp; - The person looks around the corners, and calls out barriers before they become larger issues. Graduate or post-graduate in science or packaging, BE, BTEC with min 8 years of experience in packaging or allied field.&nbsp; b. Post Graduation /Certificates in packaging from reputed packaging institutes (e.g. IIP, SIEs, PCRI etc.)&nbsp; c. In-depth knowledge on different packaging formats and substrates (e.g. folding carton, corrugated carton or box, food packaging, various protective packaging, consumer electronic packaging etc.). d. Proven analytical skills and highly comfortable with numbers while preparing various packaging reports Preferred qualifications : a. Prior experience in packaging testing in an industrial laboratory environment or quality control testing&nbsp; b. Previous experience in packaging analysis and structural packaging development in FMCG, retail and e-commerce is preferred.
