The Amazon India business is looking for a Senior Product Manager who shares Amazon's passion for the customer- someone who understands the importance of compelling delivery programs in creating an overall customer (seller and buyer) experience. In this role, you will interact with cross functional teams, local and global, and partner with Product Managers, Finance Managers, Operations Program Managers, and Customer Returns teams. The successful candidate will identify and execute processes to eliminate defects in the supply chain, enable maximum recovery of value from non-turning inventory and own the strategy for inventory obsolescence management. The candidate will co-own the responsibility for driving profitability in one of Amazon's key businesses in India. The ideal candidate has - - Atleast 5+ years of experience in Supply-Chain Operations in the retail, internet, consumer goods in the B2C or B2B domain OR 5+ years of experience in managing business for P2P transactional platforms - Experience with managing inventory health, refurbishment, liquidation and related value recovery services - Strong negotiation abilities and financial acumen, a high degree of ownership and integrity, and a high attention to detail. You will be responsible to launch a suite of value recovery services to provide sellers an excellent service for better and faster returns on their investment 2. Collaborate with FC Operations, Customer Returns and external vendors to set up transparent end to end processes at scale 3. Launch critical processes like inventory grading and inventory health management for customer returned inventory. 4. Manage seller experience and recommend policies for goods sold on the Amazon Used Store. Work closely with the business and Customer Returns team to define and implement policies seller and customer facing policies 5. Define, improve and maintain Amazon's inventory management and logistics processes, working closely with the major Operations and Transportation stakeholders involved 6. Manage the execution and timely delivery of projects on the program roadmap to ensure program success 7. Maintain, develop and expand relations with service providers (e.g. repair), define and execute contractual agreements and monitor performance. 8. Benchmark the program output with industry standards and best-performers; ensure competitive pricing, selection, availability and customer experience, taking into account a full-cost perspective including logistics and customer service costs. 9. Own complex data analysis to identify opportunities and set priorities. Utilize metrics and data to deep dive into program issues, uncover trends and make recommendations 10. Work with Finance team to quantify and prioritize programs that will progress towards Amazon cost goals 11. Meet with sellers and vendors periodically to understand their current value recovery processes and recommend updates to our program where needed 12. Own weekly and monthly reporting on program status to senior leaders in IN Basic qualifications 1. Master's degree in business, operations management 2. Atleast 5+ years of experience in managing liquidation and related value recovery services in the retail, internet, consumer goods in the B2C or B2B domain. 3. Demonstrated ability to deliver both strategic and tactical results 4. Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and good business judgment 5. Ability to think strategically, gather and interpret data, and make business recommendations to senior stakeholders in the organization 6. Proven experience in managing, building and developing a high performance team 7. Strong oral and written communication skills in English (including experience reviewing results with senior management and working in a global team setting) Preferred qualifications - MBA is desired - Experience with operational excellence and process improvement methodologies like six sigma and kaizen - Communication skills (verbal and written) for internal and external audiences. - Experience with SQL or Data querying and analysis tools is desired.
