Amazon Distribution wants to create the lowest cost B2B supply chain for brands to get their products to neighborhood stores. This is like a startup within Amazon developing an entirely new set of core capabilities for Amazon in India. The mission is to improve the livelihood of neighborhood store-owners and through them improve accessibility of goods to the offline shopper in Tier I, II and III towns of India .

B2B distribution using e-commerce (selling supplies to offline stores) is a growing (>80% CAGR), large ($-Trillion) and multi-category (FMCG, Apparel, footwear, devices etc) opportunity. In terms of maturity, it is similar to where B2C e-commerce was in India in 2010 or WW e-commerce was in early 2000s. While large and exciting, it also a highly complex space where experienced, entrepreneurial leaders with a strong work ethics will create Amazon and world-wide first products and processes in areas of customer acquisition, order-solicitation, selection curation, pricing and fulfillment. To enable the program to scale in a sustainable way, Amazon Distribution is seeking a Sr. Product Manager who will be part of a start-up group that's defining and building the core fulfillment capabilities for the Apparel e-distribution supply chain. The fulfillment technologies would leverage existing Amazon and industry best practices as well as invent completely new models that can scale in a non-linear manner.

This Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for owning and developing new iterations of our Apparel Fulfillment Channels program, specifically for new use cases that work direct with manufacturers/suppliers/aggregators, with a specific focus on ultra-low-cost of operations. This individual will organize expansions and new initiatives across the program, measure the success of the program over time, and identify opportunities to continually improve the program for Amazon customers and brand owners, including Amazon owned brands.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about managing challenging, lengthy projects across multiple teams and locations. He or she will be comfortable marshaling large amounts of data to make decisions and build business cases. We are looking for a Product Manager who shares Amazon's passion for the customer-someone who understands the importance of compelling features and functionalities in driving great experience. In addition, the candidate will also be a strong technology expert, preferably in the supply chain or e-commerce fulfillment domain, with demonstrated though leadership across several years in relevant industries/companies.

This role requires experience balancing customer research, data analysis, project and stakeholder management, and internal/external communication. As well as experience utilizing business judgment and strategically thinking with a long-term vision about this fast growing business, while being able to execute on tactical details.

Prioritization will be a continuous rubric in this role - written documents will help drive clarity and improve speed of decision making.

Job responsibilities

- Develop and communicate a long-term vision and implementation plans for Apparel e-distribution fulfillment

- Articulate the short-term / long-term product strategies to leadership and stakeholders.

- Define and manage the launch of product features, enhancements for the product initiatives and user adoption.

- Prioritize and make trade-off decisions balancing customer experience, vendor/seller experience, and business value.

- Influence design, tech development teams and local/global stakeholders to meet defined milestones and delivery dates

- Influence external teams' roadmaps to execute on the product vision.

- Own reporting on the state of product initiatives, measuring improvements and impact of changes.

- Utilize metrics to deep-dive into issues and uncover business-driving trends and patterns.

- Drive adoption of the rolled out solutions, develop mechanisms to identify and iterate on the Customer/Vendor experience.

- Set-up mechanisms to audit and perform necessary course corrections where needed to meet business objectives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology

- Experience with end to end product delivery

- Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- Superior verbal and written communications skills

- MBA and/or advanced degree in a technical discipline

- 5+ years of product/program management experience, delivering on large scale and cross-functional programs in support of business goals

- 3+ years of experience in defining projects, collecting requirements, designing product solutions, writing detailed functional specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new software; as well as analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection and communicating results throughout the organization

- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.

- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills and an ability to navigate a complex and unstructured cross-functional environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Superior verbal and written communications skills

- MBA and/or advanced degree in a technical discipline

- 5+ years of product/program management experience, delivering on large scale and cross-functional programs in support of business goals

- 3+ years of experience in defining projects, collecting requirements, designing product solutions, writing detailed functional specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new software; as well as analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection and communicating results throughout the organization

- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.

- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills and an ability to navigate a complex and unstructured cross-functional environment.

- Experience in product management within the logistics or supply chain industry

- Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences

- Experience using rapid prototyping and other creative mechanisms to gather direct customer feedback early in the product development process

- 2+ years experience utilizing data and metrics, comfortable with SQL, Excel, etc.

- Ability to understand, troubleshoot and describe complex technical processes and issues
