Amazon - Senior Manager - Finance - Digital Video Segment

Amazon Prime Video is shaping the future of digital video entertainment in India. We seek a Senior Manager Finance, to be a partner to the Prime Video Business / Marketing team in India. As a Senior Manager in Finance, you will work directly with senior business leaders on strategic initiatives to grow the Prime Video service in India. Job responsibilities include:

- Maintaining effective controllership of marketing budgets

- Drawing up short-term and long-term financial plans including variance analysis and reporting

- Establishing and maintaining operating and business metrics

- Producing succinct financial and business narratives for management review documents

- Assessing financial viability of new businesses and setting financial guardrails

- Advising business leaders on commercial deal terms

- Analyzing key predictors, identifying trends, and presenting actionable insights to business leaders

- Conducting ad-hoc financial analyses and interpreting P&L data to support business decisions

- Leading controllership/frugality/process improvement projects

- This position requires a successful candidate tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables while managing a team. The right individual will have exceptional Finance skills, a strong understanding of Accounting principles, solid leadership skills, business partnering skills and firm business judgment capable of driving an organization to the right results.

- The person needs to operate independently and successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment, and have the ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective logical reasoning, insightful analysis, and presentation of alternatives.

- The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize.

- The team needs a self-starter, who is able to work autonomously and drive results within the broader Amazon organization including Studios, Business Development, and Prime teams in India and abroad. You must display strong initiative for anticipating and meeting the business demands of senior business leaders.

The role will be based in Mumbai, India

Basic qualifications:

- MBA from a top-school and/or Chartered Accountant with strong academic credentials

- 12-15 years of experience, with at least 5 years heading Finance in a large / high-growth company

- Working knowledge of advanced Excel

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience in Media / Consumer Goods / Telecom industries is an added advantage

- Experience in Strategy / Insights / Analytics roles (e.g. management consulting) is an added advantage

- Familiarity with financial reporting software (e.g. Cognos / Oracle) is preferred
