Amazon - Senior HR Business Partner (7-14 yrs)

- In this position, you will collaborate with various senior leaders and their respective teams to develop and execute PXT strategy and activities to foster growth, innovation and organizational effectiveness. In this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into an HR agenda and goals that support the business.


- You will be required to assess the Human Resource needs for one or more virtual customer services sites spread across India in areas such as staffing, employee relations, compensation, career development and leadership development and drive the appropriate solutions in these areas.


- You will take ownership for designing, building and implementing programs, processes and tools to help new managers and employees successfully transition into and thrive in Amazon's unique customer-centric environment.


- You will be critical in helping maintain our peculiar culture as we grow.


- This position is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support.


- The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement for these sites.


- The role is also that of a people manager requiring you to attract, engage, motivate and retain high performing talent while driving organizational and site specific people goals.

Key job responsibilities:

- Work with senior management to develop and implement HR plans and solutions to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver results.

- Partner with business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment.

- Review and analyze business unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience

- Provide management coaching to build leadership capabilities to address and resolve employee issues

- Work with line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues ensuring a balance in representing all interests

- Implement/administer/interpret corporate policies/programs/procedures

- Plan and provide continuous improvement to all aspects of the client organization and leadership review process and the strategic objectives therein. This includes both annual and mid-year processes which focus on performance management and talent development.

- Working with business groups assess, create and implement innovative solutions for a variety of employee engagement initiatives within client group

- Provide ongoing support to the leadership team on human resources related matters, policies and procedures

- Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, creation of new job families, promotions and job re-leveling.

Basic qualifications:

- 6-8 years of experience in a HR business partner leadership role.

- Bachelor's Degree required in HR or related field

- Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring direct reports and leading HR teams with talented HR professionals.

- Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results

- Strong business and HR acumen, including problem solving and critical thinking

- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop operations managers and supervisors

- Self-starter and result oriented

- Confident when dealing with ambiguity

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within and outside the organization

- Demonstrated experience in managing and influencing senior stakeholders in a matrix environment

- Great narrative writing skills and proven experience at presenting

Preferred qualifications:

- Master's Degree/MBA in Human Resources Management or related field is preferred.

- Resume that shows steady progression in HR Management

- Strong evidence of stretch assignments that are evidence of superior performance in previous roles

- Prior experience leading, coaching, and mentoring direct reports and leading HR teams with talented HR professionals
