Amazon Vision Operations Center (AVOC) seeks to complement vision-based automation solutions by providing remote human support for the tasks which require higher cognitive ability and cannot be processed through automation. The team also supports the development of new vision automation technologies and business cases through job annotation and labeling.

AVOC Quality Manager is accountable to ensure that quality audit and live feedback process across programs is managed with the highest standard.

The role has the following key responsibilities from the process and people perspective:

Process :

- Ensure live audits and dispute resolutions are performed as per the established SLA

- Deliver the audit process across production programs and pilots for all AVOC sites

- Support accuracy improvement across programs by providing insights into accuracy improvement opportunities through multiple channels (WBR, gemba, quality tips, SME/Manager sync-ups etc.)

- Ensure that the audit process definitions are updated as per the latest root causes and error classifications

- Participate in kaizens and program deep dives aimed at accuracy enhancement

- Define the quality audit approach, methodology and workflow for new programs and pilots, in partnership with program team

- Design and develop automation tools with the help of analytics team to enhance the audit processes

- Drive continuous improvement of audit processes

People :

- Lead and manage a team of L3 and L2 quality auditors

- Ensure all auditors are calibrated to perform uniformly on the audit process as per the agreed audit SOP

- Define the performance management criteria and approach, in partnership with other quality managers

- Conduct 1:1s with all reporting members to address issues & concerns, and to develop the best talent.

Basic qualifications :

- Graduate/post graduate in any discipline

- Minimum 2 years experience working in a quality assurance and/or quality improvement

- Minimum 1 year experience in leading a team

- Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to perform simple data mining through SQL

- Proficient in MS Excel

Preferred qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, mathematics or statistics

- Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt certification

- Skilled in advanced MS Excel
