Program Manager

- ROC is the central control center for Operations Execution across the Amazon's North America and European Operations network, supporting both domestic and inter-country transportation movements for these geographies. The team is responsible for planning and resolving any potential issues that impact the customer. ROC plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of Amazon's transportation network and thereby has a direct impact on Amazon's ability to serve customers on time

- As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, driving, and tracking strategic initiatives that improve the Quality of service provided by the ROC associates to the internal customers. You will measure the results by monitoring quality and efficiency metrics for the process. In this high profile role, you will collaborate with numerous Operational, Training and IT teams both inside and outside ROC to identify, define, and specify solutions that create the conditions for ROC's success. You will build collaborative relationships with these partners, working closely to create and execute a quality project roadmap. You will prepare and execute regular program updates to senior management.

- The successful candidate will be input focused and will have isolated and correlated inputs to achieve high impact outputs, built closed-loop processes and measures to ensure adoption of products and processes so that improvements are realized. S/he will also have proven ability to assess situations and guide teams toward both short-term and longer-term systemic changes. The ideal candidate will possess an analytic, statistical and optimization background to enable business impact. In this role, you will experience a wide range of problem solving situations, strategic to real-time, requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1) Monitoring performance, reducing variation and driving continuous improvement initiatives for the ROC Operations teams serving multiple geographies and channels

2) Project identification and prioritization: Identifies and evaluates project opportunities in current Operations by seeking inputs from stakeholders and evaluation of current process performance. Leads the execution of projects across programs to improve metric performance of CTQs

3) Reporting: To report project weekly status with all stakeholders providing regular updates to senior management

4) Benefit Quantification: Quantify benefits potential and realized from the projects in terms of $ savings (ROI) and/or avoidance of cost of poor quality and obtain sign-off

5) Collaboration: Partners with (advises and supports) the global process owners, Site leaders, Operation managers in identifying, defining and executing various process improvement projects. Support process improvements, best practice sharing, and standardization across all sites

6) Results & Accountability: Takes corrective action, as appropriate. Strong commitment towards goals and outcomes and to ensure the completion within established timeframes. Drives and facilitates moderately complex projects; focus on results and measuring attainment of outcomes

7) Change Management & Innovation: Develops and/or influences new ideas/approaches. Establishes procedures, plans and practices which promote the adoption of appropriate solutions and sustainability of desired results in complex operational environments. Develops strategies to enhance decision making. Perform complex data analysis to identify opportunities and set priorities for various operations metrics
