Amazon - Program Manager - Operations Excellence (2-6 yrs)

IN Other Hardlines (OHL) Ops Excellence is a Program team focused on empowering Category teams on a) Profitability/Get-Fit inputs, b) CX and Conversion Improvements, and, c) Productivity Improvement.

Ops Excellence also engages with other central teams within Amazon (e.g. Ops, Supply Chain, CS, RBS, RCX etc.) to drive Programs on Cost and Defect Reduction as well as Capability building to unblock OHL. Within OHL, Ops Excellence also functions as the central team stitching together planning cycles in close coordination with Category and Finance leadership.

What should you expect from the role?

1. You will deliver small to medium scale projects from initiation through delivery with a cross-functional team across different L7/L8 orgs.

2. You are comfortable using SQL, Excel, Tableau for data analysis for actionable insights and gather business requirements to write effective functional specifications based on business requirements.

3. Program Managers manage risks, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs with the technical constraints.

4. Own, track, or escalate issues to ensure that they are addressed, documented; Manage project schedule with input from different stakeholders.

5. You are comfortable presenting and reporting insights and program updates effectively to Leaders of Amazon! The candidate should have strong communication skills and ability to prioritize effectively to ensure timelines are met.

Basic qualifications

- 3+ years of relevant work experience as a Program Manager or Business analyst

- Strong Analytical skills - has ability to ask right questions, analyze data, draws conclusion by making appropriate assumptions

- Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to the stakeholders and senior management as required.

- Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.

- An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced, ambiguous and rapidly-changing environment

- Solid communication skills and team player

- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize workload

Preferred qualifications

- Master's Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics

- 3+ years prior experience in a Analytical Domain

- 3+ years- experience in Creating complex Excel VBA macros

- Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Perl, Ruby)
