The Program Manager - WHS (Workplace Health & Safety) will build processes and work with stakeholders across geographies and market places. We are looking for a strong leader who is passionate about developing scalable systems, driving process improvement and working with multiple stakeholders. The leader will be responsible for partnering with WW WHS team (occupational health, safety, standards, sustainable operations and industrial hygiene) and Tech partners worldwide. By leveraging lean principles and kaizens, this individual will build processes to drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe, healthful & engaging working environment for our Associates across the network. The person needs to work with senior leaders to create and achieve the WHS vision in alignment with Amazon's global standards, policies and procedures in this space.

The Program Manager must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent written and verbal messages. The person will be required to identify best practices and incorporate these best practices into our standards to continuously improve the processes. The person must possess excellent program management skill, relevant operational background, experience in data analysis and must have led a large team. The individual must have ability to work with cross functional teams including senior leadership in India and abroad.

Program Manager Responsibilities:

- Possess adequate knowledge of WHS/EHS and worked with stakeholders in different geographies and time zones.

- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon WHS Policies.

- Measure overall performance against published requirements in policies. For all deficiencies, identify a plan for corrective and preventive actions. In some cases work with technology teams to come up with a long term scalable solution.

- Deliver on-time and quality deliverable related to the projects.

- Seek input from WHS teams, Associates and leaders on WHS program improvement opportunities. Ensure open communication on status of progress and resolution against these suggestions.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.

- Min 3 years of experience collaborating with all levels of organization (Executives, Managers, Associates and CI champions), driving Lean initiatives.

- Min 2 years of successful leadership experience in project management and facilitation of large cross-functional teams in business operations and technology process improvement areas.

- Facilitation experience at all levels of the organization; must be comfortable addressing both large and small audiences.

- Demonstrated knowledge of key business metrics including reporting decks and business impact measurement.

- Proven experience in working with large scale technology systems.

- Oversee the entire program lifecycle: feasibility through scoping, requirements definition through specification, launch, and deployment support.

- Basic program/ project management skills include collecting business requirements, reviewing specifications, analyzing cost/benefit of project selection, and communicating results throughout the organization

- Advanced excel and knowledge on tool like Minitab etc.

Preferred Qualifications

- MBA or an equivalent Master's program in general management

- Experience in Safety/Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/ Construction background or equivalent

- Certifications - NEBOSH IDIP/IGC/CSP/ASP or equivalent

- Experience in a fast paced, changing/growing organization

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with senior leaders.

- Ability to develop and implement department vision, goals and strategies.

- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.

- Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
