Product Manager

- We are looking for an analytically, operationally and innovatively skilled individual with advanced experience in consumer-oriented pricing and promotions, preferably in a retail environment. This role is responsible for implementing company pricing and promotion strategy as well as proposing, developing, analyzing and researching pricing and promotion tactics and initiatives for the US Video Games business.

- The ideal candidate would also have experience in driving aspects of demand for retail categories, including daily business analysis, working with editorial and merchandising teams to drive best-in-class customer experiences, and helping to ensure category leadership in online shopping.

- This position provides a considerable profile opportunity to impact a major part of Amazon's business and requires operating with significant autonomy and discretion. As a product manager, you work cross-functionally with retail, finance and a variety of central pricing and promotions teams. You will lead a wide variety of projects covering price and promotion driving sales and profit effectiveness and efficiency through analysis, development, implementation and optimization as well as process and policies standardization. A qualified candidate must have strong business quantitative and analytical skills, ideally with a Master in Economics or related field.

Responsibilities :

Implement pricing strategy:

- Realize company pricing strategy through executable action plans. Propel execution with stakeholders and deliver result. Develop models for quickly and accurately evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of pricing actions and tools.

Develop and propose pricing tactics and initiatives:

- Dive deep on Video Games specific business requirements, propose automated and measurable pricing tactics and initiatives. Convince for approval and support, boost implementation and execution. Perform ongoing evaluation of pricing initiatives and systems.

- Continuous interaction with global pricing team to drive technical support and adopt new features.

- Drive cross-functional projects to completion and success.

- Standardize company pricing and promotion policies and process.

- Timely monitoring pricing and promotion metrics and callout, propose and drive actions.

- Regularly train all pricing users to fully understand the pricing systems and use them correctly.

Qualifications :

- Experience with data mining, dynamic pricing, demand modeling, customer / product segmentation and financial analysis.

- Strong attention to detail, good follow-through, highly goal-solution-result oriented and end-to-end ownership. Desired attributes would include being a quick learner, highly flexible, deal with ambiguity and priority, move quickly on multiple projects and work in autonomy and discretion.

- A willingness to dive into software environments and technical issues as part of maintaining the skills necessary to manage and advocate products and projects.

- Advanced Excel skills needed, SQL, Access skills are plus.

- Excellent communication skills and willingness to communicate frequently with the US business team.

Preferred Qualifications :

MBA with specialization in Economics, Pricing or related field with a focus on quantitative analysis.

- A proven track record of developing and implementation of pricing strategies and performing pricing analysis in a consumer environment, preferably in a retail setting
