Amazon - Physical Security Project Manager - Security Loss Prevention Team

Amazon's India Security & Loss Prevention team is looking for a highly talented and motivated Physical Security Project Manager. He shall be well qualified and experienced in Physical Security Systems, Project Management and Security Operations. He will facilitate innovations, maintain document repository and will also help in aligning business and Amazon's Global Security requirements. He will be a key member of PMO which shall act as COE for Security & Loss Prevention function. He shall manage process improvement & change management initiatives under various regions / SLP verticals. This function will help in streamlining other associated physical security domains like new site launches and equipment management.

Project Manager will also focus on planning, designing, and commissioning security endeavors throughout India. This will include partnering with approved design firms to create the project plan, finalize system designs, and select the best security vendors and managing execution of the projects. Knowledge and application of Amazon Global Security Operations standards and policies will be key for success in this role.

It is expected that the project Manager will always look for new technologies and improved solutions for protecting the people, networks, and property of Amazon and subsidiaries.

The role will be based in Bangalore, India and Project Manager is expected to travel all across India up to 40% of time. Role will include rendering onsite / offsite support for projects in India and other geographies.

Create Project Management dashboards & metrics for measuring security program effectiveness.

- Interpretation of Risk Assessments, Threat Analysis and Amazon Physical Security Standards to assure the proper security technologies are selected to meet the unique challenges to be found in a global security program.

- Planning, executing, and commissioning security projects /programs.

- Project management of physical security system hardware installation including access control devices, intrusion detection devices, surveillance system and other components Amazon's physical security systems.

- Completing the final Test and Acceptance of security systems.

- Representative for physical security system acceptance, sign-off, and operational readiness validation in conjunction with the Infrastructure Operations Management and IN Security loss prevention.

- Compilation, Indexing and archiving of project close-out documentation.

- Design and engineer new physical security systems.

- Using AutoCAD and other drafting technologies to document the new designs.

- Assist in new security initiatives. Drafting Scopes of Work, Project Bidding Packages and Project Budgets.

- Driving security policy and standards across the region.

- Creation of specifications and scope of work documentation for local project managers to use for vendor bids.

- Provide technical and design support for local physical security teams.

- Research physical security technologies to assess their applicability within the Amazon's physical security program.

- Designs, develops, and implements solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs and change outs.

- Builds and deploys training programs for all users of the physical security systems.

- Coordinate and ensure timely delivery of daily system support requirements with various support teams such as IT Security, Network Engineering, Real Estate and Corporate Systems.

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electronics, Electrical, Communication or Mechanical Engineering.

- PSP or PMP certifications

- 5+ years of experience working with physical security design and implementation of Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.

- Experience as a Physical Security Project Manager for large, complex, installations.

- Strong Vendor Management Skills

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.

- CPP/ PSP Certification

- Certification in Lenel Access Control Systems

- Certification in Bosch Video management Systems

- Lean Six Sigma Certifications

- Proficient in AutoCAD

- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals regarding physical security standards and designs.

- Familiarity with various Access/Intrusion Control Systems
