Amazon India's newest business, Amazon Food, is looking for an entrepreneurial, dynamic & self-directed Business leader to launch new initiatives in partnership with leading players from the F&B industry. We are looking for someone with a passion for the F&B space to develop experiences that delight our customers. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is energized by a fast-paced and highly entrepreneurial environment. Ability to problem solve in high ambiguity, creating a long term vision & roadmap, and delivering results will set this person apart. The candidate will possess strong analytical and financial acumen, great negotiation skills, high degree of ownership and integrity, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate should have the ability to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization. The candidate should be a people manager with the ability to nurture and grow his/her team. This is a start-up program within the Amazon India organization and you have the chance to get in on the ground floor. Primary responsibilities include : - Developing a thorough understanding of the F&B space, customer behavior, seasonality and global trends/events - Create the long term vision and roadmap for this vertical - Based on data, working to develop & launch new initiatives in partnership with leading players in the F&B space and several internal stakeholders - Managing the P&L of this portfolio while delivering a top notch customer experience - Identifying and developing capabilities to scale this new vertical - Building & nurturing a high caliber team with expertise in the F&B space. Basic Qualifications : - MBA in Marketing, Strategy or a related field - 10+ years of relevant work experience in new product development, brand management, or P&L management in e-commerce/FMCG/ F&B industry - 5+ years of experience leading teams directly - Strong quantitative data analysis and critical thinking skills. - Experience using metrics to drive business decisions - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling positioning / messaging strategy and present complex information clearly and concisely. Professional traits those are not unique to this position, but necessary for Amazon leaders : - Ability to operate and communicate at all business levels. - Expects, requires and demonstrates continuous innovation. - Results orientation. - Ability to think big and to inspire passion in others Preferred Qualifications : - MBA from leading Indian or International B-school - Experience in the F&B industry
