This critical leadership role will lead a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Account Managers (AMs) to build our Paid Account Management function, Amazon Business Advisory (ABA). As part of ABA, we provide Account Management services to SME sellers on Amazon.in for a monthly consultation fee. The team owns the responsibility for helping sellers identify scalable business inputs that can grow the sellers- business on Amazon and drive better selection (including and not limited to cross-category diversification opportunities and/ or leveraging current selection via multiple Fulfillment channels), Selection discoverability, Product and Page quality and operational performance. This role will require strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Category Management, Category BDMs, Product Management, Finance, Program Management, Marketing, Merchant Technologies, Advertising and other stakeholders to drive the advisory service adoption at scale and continuously improve the service offering to create a high-quality experience for sellers and customers. To be successful in this role you will have superior communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Operating in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment you will work autonomously taking full control and responsibility for hitting business objectives. The position is based at the Amazon India headquarters in Bangalore and will require travel across the country basis business needs. Role and Responsibilities: - Manage a large team of Business Development Managers and Account Managers - Develop a sales charter for acquiring sellers for ABA and delivering advisory revenues for Amazon - Identify and build new monetization opportunities to drive incremental advisory revenues - Review the sales process and suggest changes to improve efficiency and achieve scale - Deliver on business growth for the ABA sellers by focusing on driving improvements across input levers such as Selection, Selection Efficiency, Operational Excellence and Product Discovery - Liason with relevant internal stakeholders such as Category Business Development Managers, Product Management, Operations, Advertising and Seller Support - Develop SOPs for different business processes - Identify scalable reports and communication channels to improve efficiency and quality of service - Identify and refine metrics for tracking program and seller success Business Reporting - Represent 3P business for the ABA service at review meetings with India business leadership - Provide financial planning inputs - Analyze the business to understand trends, shifts, spikes/dips etc. Basic Qualifications - MBA or equivalent post-graduation, with at least eight years of experience in Sales or Account management, E-commerce or retail. - High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing for priorities simultaneously - Experience in directly leading operational and project teams - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel - Prior experience influencing C-level - Work experience in consumer product sales/marketing or in e-commerce. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with e-commerce, retail, distribution would be an advantage - Previous experience with Go- To- Market Strategy, Channel development, Revenue targets and quotas is highly desirable. - Prior experience influencing C-level executives highly desirable - Deep understanding of the retail and wholesale landscape in India with prior interactions with sellers and distributors is desirable. - Experience selling services to channel/clients is desirable.
