Amazon - Manager - Financial Operations - Accounts Payable (15-22 yrs)
- The successful candidate will lead a team which ensures that our non-inventory vendor invoices are paid on-time, responsible for end-to-end process related employee reimbursements such as travel & entertainment (T&E) and other official expenses.
- Primary responsibilities include managing relationship with different stakeholders such as Non-Inventory vendors, Leading teams, Procurement, Accounting, Payroll, Banking and amazon India employees to ensure we service our vendors & employees in a manner fitting with our "Customer Obsession" philosophy.
- The successful candidate will have a strong desire in innovating processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of customers (partners) / vendors.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a team of 35+ Analysts, including delivery of business metrics; employee training and development; managing group workload and establishing priorities; ensuring existing policies, providing customer delight and procedures are followed.
- This position will also act as a point of contact in resolving all issues with internal and external business partners.
- Partnering with accounting, procurement and tax teams for Invoice receipt/archival/tax compliance.
Responsible for overall deliverables related to:
- Invoice processing
- Non Inventory Vendor Invoice payments (India).
- Invoice on-holds.
- Banking instructions
- Employee expense report including queries.
- Process Metrics
- Solving complex employee/vendor issues and proactively heading off negative service trends. Understanding and correctly utilizing resources provided by internal systems, departments, policies, and procedures.
- Constantly work with business teams, share metrics and create plan of action for aged items in Non-Inventory India AP world. Build processes to highlight issues proactively such as invoice/expense late payments.
- Work closely with finance operations team in different locations for timely transaction processing.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors/Masters (MBA/M.Com) with 15+ or more years of post-qualification experience in Finance operations/Shared Services, Accounts Payable or General Ledger.
- Past experience in AP operations in large multi-national organizations is a must.
- Experience in leading large teams(100+ resources)
- Strong Customer focus (both Internal / External).
- A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
- Strong interpersonal skills - including written and oral communication skills.
- Expertise in Six Sigma defect reduction techniques (DMAIC, etc.)
- Experience in managing non inventory AP process is a must.
- Expertise in using Oracle Financial Applications and i-Expense modules is a must.
- Problem Solving and Analytical abilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse talent within the team, work cross-functionally, and build consensus on difficult issues
Required Qualification for the role:
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Candidate should be flexible to operate in any shifts and should be comfortable to operate from office.
