This role requires an individual with excellent understanding of SQL and query development, good business acumen and the ability to work with quantitative and business teams. The Business Analyst position is based in Bangalore.

Responsibilities

- Deep Dive and Advanced Analytics - Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity to help marketing, product and category functions create higher business impact

. Metrics and Reports - Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. Ensure data accuracy by validating data for new and existing tools

. Partnering with the team to perform deep root cause analyses basis business requirements

. Helping identify process improvement opportunities to build streamlined and scalable solutions

. Attention to detail, ability to do in-depth data mining, methodical approach to work while also seeking to understand the big picture

. Results driven with the ability to innovate and simplify current process and practices.

- Presenting written business recommendations that will help shape the direction of the business

. Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources and know how, when and which data sources to use

. Becoming part of a team of trusted advisors throughout an entire business unit

Basic qualifications

- 3+ years relevant experience in financial/business analysis

- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

- Experience with SQL

- Experience in Excel

- 1+ years of experience in financial/business analysis

- Experience with SQL/ETL

- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field

- 3-5 years of professional experience in analytics, business analysis or comparable consumer analytics position

- Advanced working knowledge of data mining using SQL, ETL, data warehouse as well as Excel

- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

- Proven problem solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills

- Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner

- Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines

Preferred qualifications

- 5+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role

- Advanced technical or business degree (MS or MBA)

- Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization using Tableau
