Amazon Operations

Amazon Worldwide Operations is the underlying fulfillment and customer service engine that ensures Amazon creates the same consistent, world-class customer experience every time. We are looking for high-potential, flexible, innovative, and forward-thinking professionals to join our India Operations team. Are you ready to drive high-visibility, strategic, revenue-generating projects as well as leverage Lean methodologies to lead Operational process improvement initiatives? Are you equally comfortable digging into business requirements as you are drilling into architecture and design with development teams?

Amazon is seeking a ACES Manager for its Fresh 3P operations.

In this role, your responsibilities will be to:

- Devise mechanisms to measure every element that impacts store operations, and drive improvement initiatives to benchmark on cost or quality or both.

- Study the best practices of the hyperlocal fulfillment space, both internal and external, and draw and execute plans to achieve the desired outcomes.

- Work on development of standard operating procedures, and continually tweak them with time to improve delivery experience for customers.

- Own in-spirit deployment of all delivery related SOPs, for all the sites you are responsible for.

- Be customer obsessed on delivery a world class door-step delivery experience.

- Map business requirements, understand business process, study and analyze workflows, design solutions and prepare functional specifications.

- Be data driven, develop and report performance metrics, executive updates, forecasting, budgeting and analysis to identify potential opportunities for improving Customer Experience.

- Design, develop, pilot & rollout enterprise wide programs around fulfillment related parameters like performance improvement, cycle time improvement for under the roof activities, fulfillment experience, P&L improvement, etc.

- Continuously improve the fulfillment process and attain a sustained level of delivery performance improvement.

- Implement formal process controls and process improvement mechanisms such as Kaizens.

- Travel across cities / stores so as to ensure a uniform adoption of the SOPs/best practices.

Additional responsibilities may include:

- Direct accountability for setting and meeting operational goals, strategic planning and forecasting.

- Step in for an city manager, in case of exigencies. Support the operations team during peak events.

Basic Qualifications:

- Completed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or similar field from an accredited university.

- 4-5 years relevant work experience in a top tier company driving programs or projects. Operations Management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution environment is a plus.

- Project management experience-how to organize, find solutions and follow through to a successful conclusion.

- Proficiency in written and oral communications; able to produce concise, relevant, strategically-driven documents and presentations to leaders.

- Demonstrated analytical skills in complex situations.

- Basic/Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques preferred. Excel skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Completed Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations Research or similar field from an accredited university.

- Ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity.

- Ability to take a complex problem and break it down to smaller digestible chunks.

- Ability to define a logical and step by step approach to achieving a lofty goal.

- Comfortable with processes and process design/analysis.

- Have the ability to influence without authority and do so by using data and facts.

- Ability to deal with varied stakeholders and earn their trust.
