Role - Act as the single point of contact for the core telecom consultants in company. Provide them with proactive telecom research products and services, while managing quality and stringent deadlines. There would also be an element of team management; the candidate will need to manage the quality and performance of a few people mapped on to him
Around 7 years of work experience
- At a leading professional services firm (e.g. international consulting firm, Big 4, global investment bank, leading research house) or the internal strategy teams of Indian telecom operators .
- Extensive experience in conducting research within the Indian telecom industry
- Passion for the telecom sector
- A very good understanding of the India telecom sector – across the value chain
- Understanding of various technology concepts in telecom
- Understanding of and updated knowledge on the regulatory landscape of India telecom
- Highly articulate with excellent communication and presentation skills (especially PowerPoint)
- Confidence to form and express independent opinion on relevant areas/developments
- Experience in preparing point-of-view pieces, detailed thought leadership pieces, media articles, industry landscapes, company analysis, benchmarking, and regulatory updates
- Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data quickly and draw meaningful insights
- Exposure to managing small to midsized teams
- Flexibility and willingness to work in a highly demanding and results oriented team environment where priorities can change frequently
Qualifications
- MBA/Master’s degree from a Tier 1/Tier 2 institute
- Engineering degree before MBA. A telecom-specific specialization, such as electronics & communications, will be much preferred
