VP - Fleet Insurance

As the VP - Fleet Insurance at Alt Mobility you would be an experienced lead in our insurance operations for electric vehicle fleets. The VP - Fleet Insurance will be responsible for developing and executing insurance strategies that ensure the safety, compliance, and protection of our EV fleet assets and operations. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance practices, risk management, and industry trends. You will work closely with our sales team to ensure that our customers receive the best possible insurance coverage for their leased electric vehicles, and will be responsible for managing relationships with insurance companies.

Responsibilities include:

- Develop and implement comprehensive fleet insurance strategies that align with business goals and regulatory requirements.

- Develop new insurance products for mitigating fleet technical, operational and financial risk

- Develop and implement processes and procedures for managing insurance policies, claims, and renewals, ensuring that all operations are performed efficiently and cost-effectively.

- Collaborate with internal teams to assess insurance needs for our growing EV fleet and design tailored insurance programs.

- Evaluate and negotiate insurance contracts, coverage terms, and premiums with insurance providers.

- Lead risk assessment and analysis for our EV fleet operations, identifying potential areas of exposure and implementing preventive measures.

- Manage insurance claims and collaborate with claims adjusters to ensure efficient and timely resolution.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging risks related to EV fleet insurance.

- Prepare and present insurance-related reports, analytics, and recommendations to senior leadership.

- Develop and maintain relationships with insurance partners, brokers, and underwriters.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to the insurance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, legal, finance, and other teams to align insurance strategies with company objectives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.

- 5+ years of experience in fleet insurance management, risk assessment, and insurance operations.

- Strong knowledge of insurance practices, policies, and regulations, with a focus on fleet management and commercial insurance.

- Proven experience in negotiating insurance contracts, managing claims, and collaborating with insurance providers.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and develop effective strategies.

- Strategic mindset with the ability to align insurance objectives with overall business goals.

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and mentor a team.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Familiarity with electric vehicle industry trends and technologies is a plus.
