As the Head of Software Development at Alt Mobility, you will lead our product engineering team and drive the development of cutting-edge EV solutions while leveraging your expertise in engineering management. This role requires a deep understanding of electric vehicle technology, engineering principles, and a passion for driving innovation in the mobility sector. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of the company and fostering a culture of excellence within the software team

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, specifications, and design criteria for EV fleet management projects.

2. Design and develop solutions for EV fleet optimization, including vehicle tracking, diagnostics, charging infrastructure, and remote management.

3. Conduct engineering analysis, simulations, and testing to ensure products meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.

4. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to integrate product designs with technical specifications.

5. Prototype and iterate on product concepts, considering factors such as functionality, user experience, and manufacturability.

6. Participate in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation activities.

7. Stay informed about the latest advancements in electric vehicle technology, charging infrastructure, and sustainable engineering practices.

8. Provide technical support to product managers, sales, and customer support teams.

9. Contribute to the development of best practices, design standards, and engineering guidelines within the organisation.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (CS, IT or related field).

- Proven 8+ years of experience as a Software Project Manager/ Software Architect

Technical Skills:

- Project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery

- Strong understanding of engineering principles, product development methodologies, and design tools.

- Proficiency in engineering software and simulation tools.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into functional designs.

- Good Understanding of Design, Coding, Debugging and Testing
