Alpha Alternatives is a multi-asset class alternatives asset management platform based out of India and Singapore, with over Rs 10,000 Crores of assets under management, and deep focus on alpha generation. We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Options Trader to join our rapidly growing commodities team. As a Junior Options Trader, you will play a key role in contributing to the success of our options trading desk. This is a unique opportunity for individuals with a passion for financial markets and a strong quantitative background to be part of a growing team across domestic and international funds.

Qualifications & Background:

1. Bachelor's/Master's Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Statistics/Economics /Finance, or Mathematics/Physics.

2. Exceptional numerical aptitude, logical and quantitative skills.

3. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

4. Passion for trading and learning about financial markets.

5. Problem-solving mindset and a strong desire to learn and grow.

6. An understanding of Option Greeks and risks associated with options portfolios is desirable but not a requirement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. There will be a training phase where you will get to lay the groundwork to an understanding of trading commodity derivatives and the risks associated with it.

2. Once you're reasonably comfortable with managing an options portfolio, you will execute and manage options trades within established risk parameters.

3. Collaborate with senior traders to analyse market trends, assess risk, and identify profitable opportunities.

4. Adopting a quantitative approach to develop new trading strategies.

5. Stay informed about market developments, economic indicators, and industry trends.

Compensation:

Salary will be discussed individually with selected candidates and will be competitive, in line with industry norms. Compensation will include a significant performance-linked bonus.

Location: Dadar, Mumbai.

This is a full-time Work from Office role at our Mumbai office. Candidates applying from cities other than Mumbai shall have a clear conviction about moving to Mumbai before applying.
