Alpha Alternatives is looking to hire a smart and high achieving individual with strong background in creating and Operations, Processes and Systems in the Physical Commodities trading and supply chain. Responsibilities As a Chief Operating Officer, the candidate will be responsible for managing all operational aspects of a large and growing agri commodity business with capital investments of greater than 2000 cr. The candidate would be responsible for - Scaling up and managing a large team across various functions like operations, MIS, legal, regulatory and compliance, risk management and technology - Building systems and processes to ensure the smooth functioning of the business with zero defaults and with defined TAT - Transitioning this India focused business to a global setup over a period of time The firm is looking for seasoned professionals with over 15 years of work experience and proved track record in the Commodity Space with very strong credentials. Ideal candidate would bring a strong combination of a professional attitude with an entrepreneurial mindset. The candidate should be highly ethical, have an entrepreneurial bent of mind, and look to scale up the entire business alongside the CEO. He should have an extremely high process orientation with an understanding and capability of managing risk across the portfolio. An ability to understand and anticipate requirements and build processes, systems and technology. An ability and experience in handling difficult and hostile situations of operational, legal or financial nature, think out of the box and find smart solutions to problems.
