Ltd. is an alternatives investing platform started by a group of individuals with a very successful track record in the financial services industry. The platform seeks to invest invarious alternative asset classes like long short equities, credit, commodities, real estate, etc. It seeks to generate alpha for its clients by finding differentiated opportunities which provide superior risk-return characteristics. Alpha Alternatives Asset Advisors Pvt. Ltd. is launching its first fund which will be a $300 mn Special Opportunities fund aimed at making structured investments in India across corporate and real estate credit. The fund is being managed by the team led by a veteran professional in the financial services space with over 25 years of experience across investment banking and asset management. The team at Alpha Alternatives Asset Advisors Pvt. Ltd. comprises of professionals with asset management, investment banking, private equity and treasury and risk backgrounds in global institutions and backed by educational pedigree of internationally renowned business schools. Job Purpose (Job Summary): The Analyst would broadly be expected to generate and collate data to produce Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). He /she would be responsible for producing time sensitive information (reports) and provide actionable data that will assist Senior Management in planning and managing the core functions of the business including resourcing, staffing and client on-boarding etc. He /she would also need to analyze reports of different frequencies (E.g.: daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly) to facilitate effective business decision-making. Key Responsibilities / Duties: Operations: - Operations budget and periodic MIS - Accounts, finance and billings for AAAPL and AALLP - Timely coordination and MIS of Mauritius Feeder fund manager - Accurate & timely closure of final documentation - ISOF & ASOF - Providing any and all support required by investment or operations team - Monitoring of all agreements with service providers wrt to deliverables Regulatory/Business Process: - SEBI compliance and regulatory related coordination - Coordination - HR and Secretarial - Organizing and coordinating weekly meetings/MIS - Completing accurately and in a timely manner KYCs, NDAs and other on-boarding documentation for investors, clients, etc. - Managing independently empanelment of Barclays and other distributors - Staying abreast of regulatory and industry developments pertaining to finance / risk / accounting aspects Problem Solving & Team Development: - Coming up with innovative ideas to solve problems and work approaches that reflect alignment to the bigger picture and business interest. - Understanding the expectation of the Manager and ability to follow instructions - Ability to prioritize work, deal with multiple pressures and manage work-life balance - Taking personal responsibility for self-upgrade and continuous development - Helps others in the team by sharing knowledge and extending support Education/Experience : - Chartered Accountant - 1st Attempt ONLY - Exposure to finance or any other analytical course work Work Experience / Knowledge: - 5 - 6 years of Analytical experience post CA. - Industry: Can be from Consulting / Corporate /Fund - but not knowledge center Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required: - The ability to understand a business requirement and translate it into a clear and articulate creative solution - Ability to create and execute customer centric solution in line with business plan - Enthusiasm and drive to - make things happen- in an innovative and engaging way. - A keen analyst with proven abilities - Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with team members - Ability to work under pressure - Expert in Excel
