Responsibilities - In collaboration with Segment Head, is responsible for segment-specific commercial strategy development which includes market segmentation, sub-segment targeting, and offering definition. Develops market insights to drive the segment strategy, including key trends, customer needs, and competitor activity. Conducts regular competitor profiling. - Based on gaps and opportunities identified, defines future product portfolio requirements for the segment and develops business cases for new product development activity and presents the same to the Product Development Committee. - Manages all new product launches into the region, ensuring appropriate segment and target setting, regulatory compliance, value-proposition definition, regionalized pricing guideline, sales training and sales tools preparation. - Develops external relationships focused on co-marketing and/or co-producing activity and based on gaps and opportunities identified, defines an M&amp;A target list, profiles candidates and bring forward investment proposals as and when required. - Defines annual communication plans (exhibitions, conference presentations, advertisements, social media campaigns, etc.) and associated budgets for the same. Requirements: - Experience and/or knowledge in the specialty chemical industry; experience in Industrial Lubricants, Paints and Coatings, or Crop Protection markets desirable - 8+ years of experience in Marketing and Sales/Business Development - Experience training internal Sales departments on market trends, product features/applications, etc. including experience with conducting customer workshops - Understanding of budget management and driving business goals - Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills - Strong design style and conceptual skill, including creative design solutions - Ability to influence and drive integration of marketing strategy into operational program and planning - Ability to prepare and manage marketing budget - Broad knowledge of social media methodologies and techniques as well as the ability to come up with alternative ideas to leverage technology - Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Marketing Project management experience a plus - Strong analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines is essential for a fast-paced environment - Ability to demonstrate composure and self-confidence in difficult situations - Travel up to 25%
