Job Description:

Main Job accountabilities

- Works closely with leadership to develop and implement sourcing strategies for CHEMICAL INDUSTRY RAW MATERIAL

- Polymer additives (antioxidants, UV light stabilizers, nucleators, scavengers, slip agents).

- Polymer compound materials (pigments, flame retardants, glass fibers, talc, calcium carbonate)

- Increase Strategic Sourcing in large spend categories

- Generate preferred Strategic Supplier portfolio

- Cost reduction Opportunity for Rate Contract or Frame Agreement

- Negotiate (price, terms & conditions)

- Select Supplier through RFP & Evaluation Process

- Formulating Master Agreement and Outline Agreement in the system

- Evaluate alternate source/opportunities for active and in-active materials

- Obtain the necessary legal documents (CDA- s, supply agreements, Quality agreements, etc.) by working with the legal department

- Provide suppliers with periodic forecasts especially for materials with long LT

- Provide analysis & strategy for competitive procurement, research, sourcing, risk mitigation, and contract management

Required knowledge, competencies, skills & experience

- Post Graduate / Graduate in Engineering (CHEMICAL, Production, Industrial, Mechanical)

- Engineer with at least 10 years of experience; (Procurement experience at least 5 years)

- Global relevant experience (5 years +) in Procurement operations, Vendor Relationship Management, Techno-Commercial, RFQ/ RFP negotiations, ARIBA

- Knowledge about country-specific contracting laws

- Result-oriented, willing to challenge the status quo

- Organising, planning, and project management skills

- Good commercial negotiator

- Teamwork and Collaboration although assertiveness

- Capability to analyze, develop & transfer internal demands into beneficial contract solutions

- Fluency in English. Any proficiency in German/ French would be preferred

- Strong MS Excel skills

- Familiar with Excel formulas, such as lookup/text/date functions to support complex spend, cost model analysis, cost reduction calculation and tracking, and SAP Outline Agreement pricing validation and updates

- Familiar with pivot tables and pivot charts to support SAP spend analysis

- SAP experience preferred

- Familiar with SAP transactions, able to perform lookups, changes of materials and vendors in SAP independently

- Understand material and taxonomy structure in SAP, to provide operational support

- Chemical related background will be nice to have (not a must-have)

- Such as degrees in Chemistry or Chemical Engineers, or sourcing experience with chemicals, to support sourcing decisions and managing commodities
