Key Responsibilities

- Researching potential vendors and suppliers; locating vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales

- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment; negotiating contract terms of agreement and pricing

- Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers; comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers

- Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids; prepare bid

awards requiring board approval

- Request quotes and compare prices for maximum ROI; estimate and establish the cost parameters and budgets for purchases

- Review prices and quality of purchased products and ensure optimal stock levels; authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation

- Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department

- Establish relationships and serve as a representative of the company when negotiating contracts and building vendor and supplier trust as well as tracking and monitoring the delivery and confirmation of all materials and supplies

- Procure high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for our organization through proper risk analysis and cost-effective techniques
