Algo Legal - Financial Controller

- Algo Legal, a leading law firm in the country, is seeking a Financial Controller to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. As part of our Leadership team, you will be an active member in providing inputs for the development and continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives of the Organisation.

- Algo Legal is a technology backed multi-service law firm focused on Venture Capital / Private Equity firms, VC-funded start-ups, and corporate businesses. We use multiple legal technology tools to deliver our service including developing our own software to fully integrate this into all our services in the future.

- In this role you will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, client payments, company audits, tax, compliance, and all relative stakeholder relationships. You will closely collaborate with the Managing Partner and the executive team (Partners) to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations. The candidate will possess a strong background in finance and management.

Responsibilities:

- Create and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to the Managing Partner

- Oversee cash flow, cash management, working capital, tax, company audits, Client payments etc.

- Prepare financial statements and reports. Actively participate in the provision of on-going financial support and accounting service and will work closely with the leadership team on critical aspects of business and operational strategy.

- Ensure legal compliance on all financial functions.

- Liaison continuously with banks and prospective investors to get the best deals for the company.

- Ensure timely compliance of payments and returns of all statutory requirements like GST, professional tax, TDS etc.

- Results-oriented, self-driven person with a high energy level, analytical and structured, quality focused and adaptable.

- Ensuring credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.

Desired qualifications and requirements:

- Strong finance-based analytical skills

- 4 - 5 years' of finance experience

- CA or MBA Finance preferred

Knowledge and experience of consultancy business is a huge plus. The financial controller will be working closely with the business to define key metrics and ensure controls and analysis are in place for financial robustness of the firm.
