Airtel - Manager - Network Sourcing

The Supply Chain Team is looking for intelligent and dynamic candidates to join Network services sourcing. We seek a highly motivated, analytical, customer-centred, creative professional to join our team to help ideate, execute and drive programs for our high-value customers at Network services sourcing,

Sourcing and Procurement:

- Responsible for Procurement of Network Maintenance and Operations Services, Field Services, Software, and other related services

- Lead RFQ, negotiations and conclusion of contracts with suppliers over major deals, working with legal and internal stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met.

- Use market intelligence tools and databases to screen the markets for suppliers offering new technologies/services and standout innovations that bring real improvements to the business.

- Able to Leverage category expertise and supplier relationship management tactics to identify the opportunities that create total cost (TCO) savings for the relevant category.

- Proactively drive enforcement of Category strategy, identifying savings opportunities by working with key stakeholders and Suppliers.

- Build and maintain a strong partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuous alignment with objectives.

- Ensure Transparency and enhanced governance in Network procurement

Contract governance:

- Negotiate commercial contracts with partners and ensure risk mitigation to the services through relevant contractual clauses

- Setup governance mechanism to drive contract compliance

- Work with the finance team to track the post-contractual performance of partners, and plan corrective actions in case of any deviations

Network Spend management:

Tracking Capex and Opex and coordinating with finance to keep costs under control

Reporting of Active Network cost to the leadership team and driving strategies to ensure YoY cost efficiencies

Own Active Network cost head for financial reporting incl. AOP preparation

Key competencies :

Technical knowledge of telecom networks.

Experience working within procurement is essential. Experience in Procurement related to Network Equipment, Software and related services will be an advantage

Analytical solid and Data Interpretation Skills

Excellent interpersonal and networking skills. Ability to Negotiate with an objective to build a business relationship with the other party to meet respective business goals

Multi-Tasking Skill:

Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to the leadership team

Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English

Education level:

Must have: Engineering

Preferred: Engineering + MBA

Work Experience:

Must have: At least 2-3 years of work experience in procurement, Knowledge of Telecom networks

Preferred: Experience in Procurement related to Network Equipment, Software and related services
