Job Title: Head Core Operations


Job Level: DGM

Function: Networks


Location: Circle

Reporting to: CTO

Purpose of the Job

- To Manage Packet Core operations for supporting Business requirement. will also be responsible for Network impact analysis.

Deliverables (Maximum 5-6 key responsibilities)

Key Deliverables:

- The function would require a sound understanding of 2G, 3G, LTE packet core, ISP, CGNET, SGSN, GGSN, S-GW, P-GW, MME and IP network with internal & external customers handling, including MSP.

1. Core Operations:

a. Maintaining Network Uptime.

b. Monitor & Optimize network KPIs.

c. Exhibit SME Role in Protocol Level Optimizations such Timers / Parameters in Charging / Access / ISP interface etc .

d. Leading Core Operations, Monitoring, Fault Mgmt, ConfigMgmt, Performance & Reporting / Maintaining Core KPIs in respective regions

e. Building network resilience

f. Ensuring End to End Redundancy

g. Responsible for Ops & deploying highly complex network and security solutions to meet basic or advanced business requirements, and/or improve overall performance in respective regions

h. Governance & Ops for Configuring, supporting, and maintaining Core Network

i. Support for advanced level and on-call support for a large variety of networks, systems, and infrastructures

j. Troubleshooting network systems and performance, and remediating issues professionally and concisely

k. Driving large scale projects to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations while staying within time and financial budgets

l. Delivering escalated, highly complex technical support to customers, internal systems, and others by using effective techniques and methodologies

m. Co-developing configuration and change management policies to provide a method of approval and success of changes made to networks

2. Fine Tuning, Optimization, New Solution & Architecture Rollout in Respective Regions:

a. Support for Rollout of New Solutions.

b. Support for Rollout of Recommendations, Implementations of HLDs & Architecture blueprint

c. Support for Implementations of Guidelines for Deployment, Fine Tuning & Optimization

d. Implementing Parameter level details along with Network Integration strategy

e. Building network resilience

3. Expansion / New Integration Guidelines / Solutions rollout for Core:

a. Responsible for timely Expansion & Deployment.

b. Deciding Network deployment & Expansions Guideline / Principles

c. Lead New Features & FNI / POC Testing - New Feature testing/implementations as per timelines to meet business requirement

f. Implement Guidelines

4. Managing Partner, Adhering Process & Maintaining Benchmarks:

a. Ensure best practices & Standards to ensure smooth operations and efficient troubleshooting during network issues

b. Industry benchmark / specific certifications for network services

c. Monitor OEM & MS partners performance on service deliverables for Core for New Solutions FNIs

Expected Key Results:

- Service assurance- Responsible for ensuring Highest level of Uptimes


- NPI- Ensuring core performance and KPI Targets


- SME - for circle core ops - Resolving complex core problems.

- Implementing best practices.

Activities:

- Uptime of core nodes-CS.PS, MPBN, CORE, and signaling.

- Operationalizing NPI In circles.

- Process adherence

- Service Resiliency.

- Solving inter-domain complex issues.

- SME support to circle core operation teams.

- Concluding RCA with MS, NOC, and OEM.

- Keep tap on developments in technology & ensure timely replication

Educational Level: B.Tech/B.E
