The Challenge : As we grow the AirSeva team, we are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant who would have responsibility and oversight of direct and indirect tax compliance for our entities in India and support the base level production of documents (as needed) by the Indian tax authorities. This role would report directly to the Director of Finance, AirSeva, as well as to the APAC Regional Tax Lead, based in Singapore. What you'll do : - Support the preparation and review of direct and indirect tax compliance for all Airbnb entities in India, including but not limited to income tax, GST and withholding tax returns. This include scope for supporting transfer pricing, tax & FP&A forecasts and reconciliation of US GAAP to India GAAP from a tax perspective - Interface with our external tax advisers for the accurate and timely filing of tax returns and other tax-related compliance matters. - Collaborate cross-functionally with other parts of the business (e.g. Treasury, APAC Finance and Payments). - Identify, develop and implement a streamlined tax management strategy for ensuring the accurate and timely filing of returns including suggesting and implementing process improvements. - Support the broader APAC tax team with tax negotiations and implementations including interfacing with external tax advisers and Indian tax authorities as and when required. - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and highly motivated/proactive. What you need to succeed : - Qualified tax professional and accountant - A minimum of 5+ years of experience with multinational companies, working within a Big Four and/or tax department of a multinational company. - Strong organizational skills with an ability to communicate and interact effectively with individuals at all levels internally as well as outside of the firm. - High energy with superb attention to details, and the ability to work independently, prioritize and deliver in a fast paced environment. - Must be passionate about the company and our mission.
