AGM - Underwriting - Life Insurance (12-15 yrs)
Preferred candidates with Medical / Paramedical/ Pharmacy Education
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing the medical and financial information provided by insurance applicants
- Determining the risk associated with insuring a person
- Deciding whether or not to offer insurance to applicants.
- Calculating premiums and appropriate amounts of coverage.
- Training the other stake holders on Underwriting guidelines within the organization
- Researching additional information, such as medical histories or credit scores.
- Analyzing and determining the relevancy of risk factors.
- Managing the administrative and operational responsibilities
- Vendor management
- Evaluating the recommendations and observations made by the sales force
- Making the department MIS
- Researching additional information, such as medical histories or credit scores.
- Process review and analysis
- Analyzing and determining the relevancy of risk factors.
- Coordinating with the actuarial, product and claims team as and when required
- Team management and to ensure all team members are aligned to the department and organizational goals
Measures of Performance:
- Quality Scores/Errors
- Underwriting TAT as per KPI
- Feedback from stakeholders
- Initiatives and Training completion
Required qualifications and experience :
- Qualification: Graduation. (Preferred candidates with Medical / Paramedical/Pharmacy Education]
- Underwriting experience of 12-15 yrs in life insurance or work experience in industries like Health Insurance
- Understanding of Risk Management through understanding of Medical/ Financial/ Residential / Occupational / Avocational risks
- Financial Documentation Analysis (Salary slips, ITRs, etc.)
- Good language Command and skills in MS Office

- High on achievements and should have good academic record
- Should have good public speaking skills, with an ability to communicate the requirements to the team members and all stakeholders.
